What’s The Deal With Search Engine Site Positioning?

Try to learn and understand search engines and how to use them most effectively.

Periodically the crawler or spider portion of the search engine will return to the sites checked prior for any information that has changed. The administration technician of the search engine determines the frequency this occurs.

Like in a book where it contains the table of contents, crawler or spider portions of the search engines index up to a million pages a day. The actual contents, links and references are indexed for all the websites it finds during its search.

When information is entered into a search engine, it is being asked to locate said information, in doing so it actually searches through the index it created, it doesn’t search the Web. Different search engines produce different results because not every search engine uses the same method to search it’s index’s.

One of the things that a search engine looks for is frequency and location of keywords on a web page. It can also detect repeated keywords in meta tags and spamming. Also like google engines, they analyze the way that pages contain links to one another and position the sites most frequently visited at the top of the list presented to searcher. So the websites with the most links and visits accredited them are the first to be shown at the search engines results page.

Multiple links to other websites and from outside web sites to your site will greatly benefit your position in the search engine rankings. Use of your site link within all postings to forums, blogs and e-mails that you write will up your rating.
